MAPS orchid enthusiasts welcomed the tropical climate of Hausermann’s Orchids in Villa Park, while March winds howled and brought blizzard conditions to areas south of Chicago. Three acres of colorful blooms provided 31 MAPS members with unlimited photo opps of hundreds of breathtaking orchids. Enthusiastic members agreed two hours of shooting sped by way too quickly before heading to lunch/breakfast at the High View Restaurant. Congratulations to Frank Solecki who won the gift card drawing at the end of the outing! And a special “Thank You” to Gene who has always been so accommodating in sharing Hausermann’s Orchids with MAPS photographers.
