Upcoming Programs

We are holding our monthly programs using Zoom, and all members are invited! Check out our Zoom web page to prepare for the monthly program meetings and for tips & tricks we might have.

  • November 8, 2021 – Mike Lake – Turn Your Images into Paintings

    Turn your image into a painting. Learn the secrets of the impressionists with Mike Lake. It’s all about the brush strokes and how you use them. The technique, software and step by step process will be revealed.
  • December 13, 2021 – Bonita Palma – Creative Perspectives

    Composites.  Abstracts.  Impressions.  Anything that bubbles up from the unlimited well of your imagination.  Bonita will share some of her creative visions, motivations and processes to help inspire your own creative artistry.

2022 MAPS Capturing Nature Photography Exhibit

The MAPS Exhibit Team is thrilled to inform MAPS Members of the upcoming In-Person Exhibit which will be held in the beautiful Gallery of the Tall Grass Arts Association.

Schulenberg Prairie Anniversary Project

2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the Schulenberg Prairie! To help celebrate this occasion, a request to monitor the prairie in photographs was accepted by MAPS. MAPS members will be able to capture images for an entire year and post them on the MAPS website.

  • Fullersburg Woods – Friday, October 22, 9-11:00 A.M.

    Fall color! Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve in Oak Brook offers a 220-acre prime wildlife haven and is home to the Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center.

  • Winter Prairie WondersFriday, December 3, 2021, 10-11:30 A.M.

    A virtual interactive online immersion.

    See the aesthetic beauty of the snow-covered grasses and wildflowers in cold weather through colorful images of winter on the prairies and much more. This video will help you when the time comes for the Winter Schulenberg Prairie photo outing.

    Cost $10 Arboretum Members, $17 guests.
