Cape Petrels – It wasn’t all that unusual to see individual Cape Petrels, also called Cape Pigeons or Pintado Petrels, flying around the ship, but a couple times, small flocks like this one would fly back and forth alongside the ship. The upper surface has a beautiful black and white pattern.
