Saturday, August 4, 2012, MAPS journeyed to the prepared gardens at Ball Horticultural Company, located in West Chicago, IL.
It was a hot and sticky morning, but everyone of the 30+ people seemed to have fun wandering around the gardens. The grounds were so immaculate that they appeared to be part of a public garden. After a period of time people gathered at the patio to cool off and talk about the day.
So many things to see and capture. You can walk through the gardens through the eyes of our members by viewing the pictures below.
After the gardens several of the members made their way to The Egg Yolk Cafe in downtown West Chicago. Conversations of the gardens and other summer adventures mingled with the wonderful food and service at the Cafe.
MAPS would like to thank Ball Horticultural and Susan Schmitz (Ball employee and MAPS member) for allowing us to experience the wonders at the Ball Horticultural Gardens.
