On Wednesday, July 10, 2013. we had 17 MAPS members and a guest travel to The Chicago Botanic Garden (CBG) to photograph hundreds of amazing butterflies at their Butterflies & Blooms Exhibit. The CBG staff opened the butterfly tent early for us, and we used every minute of the extra time. We saw species many of us had never seen before, each prettier than the one we had just captured seconds before. When our time was up at the exhibit, a few of us wandered over to the Visitors’ Center for a cool drink, and then went off to photograph some of the gardens.
