On early Saturday morning, May 11, we visited Richard Young Forest Preserve which is adjacent to Lyon Forest Preserve near Yorkville. We had rapidly changing weather therefor varied light to shoot the spring flowers and wooded areas of the preserve. Skunk cabbage and Hepatica were strong throughout the preserve with much more mushroom growth this year. There were lots of unique photo opportunities. Keep in mind this is a 4 season location. Please revisit it throughout the year. You have to work for your images here but it is worthwhile.
