AUGUST 17, 2017 – Sunflower Days – Pope Farm Conservancy – Middleton, Wisconsin – One half hour before sunrise.
(Thursday) with a rain date of Friday, August 18 (if needed).
The sunflowers will be located at the top of the hill, near the iconic stone fence. Please continue to check Pope Farm Conservancy’s website which contains a great deal of helpful information: https://www.popefarmconservancy.org/events/sunflower-days/ or their Facebook page for more info regarding the 2017 sunflower crop. Also, there are directions and plenty of sunflower information given on both sites.
Early mornings are best as the east-facing sunflowers catch the sun as it rises. It is also less crowded. Your host Claudia Frost 630-772-0109 or email@example.com will meet you at the main entrance one half hour before sunrise. Photographers may want to stay overnight the day before and spend a little time scoping out the place beforehand.
If you can’t make it on the 17th you may want to visit on your own at another time between August 12 and the 20th. And bring a MAPS buddy along. I will be staying August 16, 17 & 18 at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson on 2212 Deming Way, Middleton, WI, 53562 Book a room at: 855-239-9401 or through the website: Hotels.com Very reasonable, nice breakfast, evening trolley to Madison stops by every half hour.
