Morton Arboretum MAPS Spring ’26 Exhibition
May 2026

Nearly 1300 people visited the MAPS exhibit on a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend this year. Sixty two artists exhibited 156 nature-themed photographs from all over the world. Many visitors commented that the quality of the exhibit and the overall curation exceeded their expectations. The lovely raffle baskets brought in over $850, and the exhibitor fees will help to cover the cost of the exhibit.
The success of the Spring MAPS exhibit is completely dependent on the volunteer work of so many of our members. We are deeply grateful for the significant contribution 25 volunteers made to this year’s exhibit. Careful planning is started months before the exhibit takes place, and volunteers are responsible for the implementation of every component. Many exhibit team members also helped staff the MAPS table with the communications team in the Visitor Center where a table was set up to engage potential members and direct people to the exhibit in the Cudahy Room.
We would like to acknowledge and thank PROCAM Photo and Video Gear in Aurora for donating a popular photography raffle basket and to PJs Camera in Glen Ellyn for printing six beautiful exhibit posters. We appreciate your support of MAPS.
A very special thanks to our MAPS liaison, Lauren Incrocci, who coordinated all the exhibit details with The Arb. The Morton Arboretum helped publicize the event in their newsletter and with a beautiful new MAPS exhibit webpage. Our thanks to The Arboretum for sharing the beautiful property and for providing the Cudahy Room—the ideal location for MAPS members to showcase and celebrate their fine art photography.
Sincerely,
Mary Mehl and Dulcey Lima
