Lilacia Park, a horticultural gem designed by the renowned landscape architect Jens Jensen, offers an 8-acre canvas of breathtaking beauty. With over 700 lilacs and 35,000 tulips in full bloom, this compact park is a photographer’s dream.

The MAPS May outing is a spectacular spring photo opportunity at Lilacia Park in Lombard, IL on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This event promises to be a feast for the eyes and a challenge for your photographic skills!

  • Diverse Subjects: Capture the beauty of lilacs, and hopefully some tulips, daffodils, and crabapple blossoms.
  • Photogenic Landscapes: Explore winding paths, council rings, and open meadows designed by Jensen for perfect compositions.
  • Labeled Varieties: For plant enthusiasts, many lilac varieties are clearly identified.
