Gary Hart – Leveraging Your Camera’s Vision

In many ways there is no better camera than the human eye. With the assistance of the human brain, the eye has a dynamic range unequaled by any camera. The same applies to subject motion; the eye + brain combination is able to make sense of it for us. Rather than try to force our camera to “see” the world the way we see it, instead it is important to understand and use the camera’s unique view of the world. Among many topics Gary covered were how to handle motion (blurring and freezing), creatively managing depth of field, and how to take advantage the camera’s narrow dynamic range.
