MAPS Critique Night

Members are invited to submit images for review from a panel of MAPS members, focused on providing constructive feedback on the technical and creative aspects of your images. The program will be a Hybrid presentation – both via Zoom and Live in the Arbor Room at Thornhill.

The Critique Panel will be long-standing MAPS Members Christine Foley, Dulcey Lima, and Darcy Berg.

Critique objectives include a review of the following:

• Overall impact of image – is it interesting
• Composition – subject placement, background, border
• Lighting – subject lighting, lighting on eyes (if applicable)
• Color Balance – for color images
• Tonal Range – primarily for monochrome – dark & light tones
• Texture Quality – primarily for monochrome – adds to depth and implied dimensions
• Sharpness – subject and eyes (if applicable)
• Overall Strengths & Areas for Improvement
