SPECIAL EVENT: A Day with Anne Belmont – Queen of Flower Photography

MAPS is pleased to announce Anne Belmont, the Queen of flower photography, will be a visiting artist. Presentation will be free to MAPS members. Space is limited so sign up ASAP. Anne will also critque a limited number of images, one per person, for those who pre-regester.

Anne is a nature photographer specializing in the intimate world of flower and botanicals. Her passion lies in the capturing the intricate beauty of her subjects. Coming from a background of an art therapist she understands the healing power of art and nature.
Tentative Schedule:
- 8:00 am – 9:45 am – Presentation on “Photographing the Beauty of Orchids” This grew out of an Exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Garden with 40″ x 60″ prints.
- 10:00 am – 11:00 am – Welcome to the World of Lensbaby: An introduction to my favorite Lenses
- 11:00 am – 12:00 pm – Image Review – Images submitted by MAPS members
- 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm – Presentation on “Metaphors in Nature – Developing a workflow that encourages finding deeper meaning
- 2:30 – 3:00 pm – Ask Me Anything – (running a business, website, exhibition etc.)
- 3:00 – 5:00 pm – Weather and time permitting move outside to photograph and use concepts learned in presentation, with Anne roaming around to offer feedback and advice.
No Food or beverage provided but tables and chairs will be set up in the Founders Room at lunchtime for those who bring their own food.
