Join us for a morning of nature and wildlife photography. Lake Katherine offers 85 acres of diverse habitats, providing endless opportunities for macro, critter, and landscape photographers.
Photography Highlights:

- Wildlife on the Water: The 10-acre lake is a haven for waterfowl, turtles, and other aquatic life.
- The Pollinator Garden: May is the perfect time to capture early-season butterflies and bees amidst the emerging blooms of the botanic gardens.
- The Waterfall: This cascading waterfall provides a perfect subject for practicing long-exposure shots.
- Diverse Landscapes: Explore winding trails through lush woodlands, open prairies, and serene wetlands.
Meeting Point: We will gather at 10:00 AM near the Nature Center (7402 W. Lake Katherine Dr.).
What to Bring:
- Lens of choice for your desired subjects
- Tripod and ND filter to capture long exposures of the waterfall
- Comfortable walking shoes for the trails
