Starved Rock Lodge Parking Lot
Nancy B and Darcy B invite you to hike with them through various areas of Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks.
We recommend that you bring a camera but you don’t have to. And of course, you can bring a friend. We will meet in the parking lot of the Starved Rock Lodge at 9:00.
There is no registration for this event. Just show up and look for Nancy Brejc or Darcy Berg towards the back of the parking lot.
If you miss us, you can catch up in St. Louis Canyon. The parking lot for St. Louis is on Rt. 178 across from Great Bear Lodge.
Around 12:30 we will meet in the Starved Rock Lodge Restaurant for lunch. If the weather is nice we will eat on the patio. After lunch we head for the Matthiessen Lake Falls.
Matthiessen can be muddy. We suggest that you bring a change of clothes, just in case. We will meet rain or shine. We won’t meet if it’s thundering and/or lighting.
