Join MAPS for a Photo Outing to Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 9:00am.
Come and experience the peace and tranquility of Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, a stunning oasis situated on twelve acres of landscaped streams, waterfalls, winding pathways, lovely foliage and koi-filled ponds. This beautiful outdoor setting inspires the mind and energizes the soul.
While photography is strongly encouraged at the Gardens, there are some ground rules. Tripods are NOT ALLOWED, however monopods are okay. Remain on the pathways and grassy turf areas at all times. Please be sure to not block any pathways for other guests, and do not move or alter any flowers, objects or landscape.
Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and walking during the outdoor photograph outing. Polarizers could come in handy. We can plan to shoot for three or four hours and then gather for lunch at a local casual restaurant.
The Gardens are located at 318 Spring Creek Road in Rockford, IL 61107. We will meet in the parking lot at the Gardens at 9:00am (opening time). Members are responsible to pay their own entrance fee which is $12 for adults and $11 for those 62 and over.
