MAPS members drove out to Geneva to enjoy a beautiful day at Peck Farm. The group spent the morning exploring the prairie and the lake with some sightings of cormorants and a blue heron, as well as colorful prairie flowers. The big attraction was the butterfly house, where even without the use of tripods members seemed to enjoy capturing the many different species. It was the first time at Peck Farm for many members; a great introduction to a local site that I am sure many will return to! Our very large group went to brunch at Lumes Restaurant afterwards for good food and a nice visit.
